CBD @ 25/03/08
Tonight, target was mount faber. Join the gang @ TGP. Even though the skies were dark, we kick off sharp @ 7pm. LT wanted us the do 3 loops. Me not wanting to worsen my ITB, decide to up the mount & run back via keppel rd.
The run was ok, mantain my 7min pace, knee a bit sore but ITB din flare up, duno was it due to the hard massage that i had last week or due to thr pattstrap.
Was join by tao, burnz & eatrun as they dun intend to do the loop. Burnz was still feeling tired after his quads training @ the gym. Did a nice run back to TGP mrt, did my stretching before calling it a day.
Weekend will be doing my LSD..... hope knees will be A.....OK......

New Rubber
Gear up my new Mizuno Wave Rider 11, goging to burn new rubber.....yea......, did a short route of 8km. Mindfully did my stretching. Kept a slow pace to see whether my ITB would fare up again. First 5km was fine. After hitting the 5km, started to feel the strain on the outer knee.
Reminded myself to control my pace & try not to over compensate my left leg. Able to end the run without any pain or strain. Did my warming down stretch, guess the strong massage did help a bit. Going to play with the red toy again............sweet sweet pain....

Strong Massage
www.strongmassage.com
Made an appointment for a deep tissue massage this afternoon. Feel the need due to my ITB, first time trying out, hope that it will fastern my recovery. They normally charge SGD80/- per hr but due to the fact I have join Sundown Marathon, U get SGD10/- off per session until the last 2 days after the event. Quite a good bargain even though SGD70/- is quite steep.
Was attend by Chye Tuan (physiotherapist).....
What to expect from ..........PAIN SWEET SWEET PAIN.
Manage to loosen the muscle plus pick up some useful tips.
SGD70/- well worth................OUCH..... now prepare for some blue black 2morlow.... :(

CBD Run @18 Mar 2008
Wanted to see how much have my ITB recovered. Decided to join the gang for a run to test & try out the Pattstrap that I have purchase for my ITB.
Initial run was ok, until reaching the 4km point, started to feel my knee sore again. Didn't want to worsen the condition so didn't do the interval with the gang. Guess need to play more with my red toy. HIAZ............

DNF: MR 20km
Took a lift from tao to MR.
Today MR was pack w lots of pple.
MR25 doing their 15km progressive runs series.
SAFRA Tampines doing their 21km.
Army runnners doing their MR runs.
Link w xz, fennel, ST, Burnz, laserrunner and buay. Started @ 7.30pm, due to someone lor, cannot find cab to MR. Haiz.
Started my pace slow so that my ITB will not act up again. As we were running behind the SAFRA guys, pace was relatively slow abt 6.30 pace/min.
After leaving the trail, venturing the Aircon road, manage to catch up w burnz who was infront. This IM to-be is looking strong. After making the U-turn @ seletar gate, SIAO LIAO. ITB surface on my left knee again. Damn......XZ lend me his knee guard to ease off the pain. Started to jog back. After three slopes, XZ, Burnz & me decided to walk back, had a nice time chatting abt Tokyo, HK marathon & future events.
So DNf for today, already order the pattstrap, hoping it will help to ease off my ITB. Next will be getting the foam roller to massage to ITB...........
